पृथ्वी दिवस

पृथ्वी दिवस एक वार्षिक आयोजन है जिसे 22 अप्रैल को दुनिया भर में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए आयोजित किया जाता है।इसकी स्थापना अमेरिकी सीनेटर जेराल्ड नेल्सन ने 1970 में एक पर्यावरण शिक्षा के रूप की थी।पृथ्वी दिवस का महत्व इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि, इस दिन हमें ग्लोबल वार्मिंग के बारे में पर्यावरणविदों के माध्यम से पर्यावरण पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव का पता चलता है। पृथ्वी दिवस जीवन संपदा को बचाने व पर्यावरण को ठीक रखने के बारे में जागरूक करता है। जनसंख्या वृद्धि ने प्राकृतिक संसाधनों पर अनावश्यक बोझ डाला है, संसाधनों के सही इस्तेमाल के लिए पृथ्वी दिवस जैसे कार्यक्रमों का महत्व बढ़ गया है।

पृथ्वी दिवस 2024 की थीम, "ग्रह बनाम प्लास्टिक", हमारे समय के सबसे गंभीर पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों में से एक को संबोधित करती है: प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण। अर्थ डे ऑर्ग ने प्लास्टिक मुक्त भविष्य के निर्माण के लक्ष्य के साथ 2040 तक प्लास्टिक उत्पादन में 60% की कमी की मांग के लिए एक वैश्विक अभियान  की घोषणा की है।

                                          ABOUT

Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated on the 14th of April. It is the birth anniversary of one of the most loved and famous Indian political leaders, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Dr. Ambedkar fought for the rights of the da lits by carrying out various movements. He was also actively involved in various other social works. Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, who was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer and politician and is best known as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.

Ambedkar, who belonged to the Mahar caste which was considered untouchable in Hinduism, converted to Buddhism on October 14, 1956, in Nagpur along with 500,000 supporters, after studying the religion for years. He is not only known for his great influence in eradicating the social scourge of untouchability in India but also for having led a crusade for the upliftment and empowerment of Dalits in the country since he believed that Dalits can never get their rights within Hinduism
